Amber has been caring for mothers, babies, and families during the childbearing process since 2001. Amber graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a double minor in Women’s Studies and Spanish in 2009. She is a bilingual healthcare professional who is capable of communicating, reading, and writing in both English and Spanish. As of February 2014, she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing- Dallas. She is a Registered Nurse with the Texas Board of Nursing and is currently working at Las Colinas Medical Center as a Lactation Consultant & Childbirth Educator. In addition, she is a Birth Assistant at Inanna Birth and Women’s Care-Denton and volunteers at Woman-to-Woman, Pregnancy Resource Center in Denton as a Volunteer Advocate and is an active participant in March of Dimes.
Amber has attended and participated in various childbirth, lactation, and doula workshops and seminars for community support. Some of these trainings include to Labor’s Birth Doula Training, DONA’s birth doula training, La Leche League conferences, Lamaze conferences, and Childbirth Educator workshops. After accumulating numerous hours and experience working with childbearing and lactating mothers, Amber pursued certification with Lamaze International and is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) as of 2011. She then pursued certification with the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) and obtained her IBCLC International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) in 2012 to practice lactation in both a hospital and private setting.
Amber’s desire is to provide holistic care to mothers and their families during the delicate process of childbirth. Her inspiration and passion comes from the birth of her daughter, born in 2008 at the Inanna Birth and Women's Center. Amber seeks to share her vision and passion of childbirth with families in the community by providing childbirth education, lactation, and doula services through Mother Eve’s Childbearing Support Services, LLC.
